Will she or won't she?
So Hillary won Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, and Obama won Vermont and then took Wyoming. We still don't know the outcome of the Texas Caucuses, but with the way things currently stand Hillary only gained a handful of delegates from her wins. She still trails by well over one hundred delegates, number of states won and total number of popular votes. With the home stretch in sight it is mathematically impossible for her to catch up in delegates or states won. Which leaves the popular vote. Assuming she wins in Pennsylvania by a large margin and they redo Florida and she wins there by a large margin, it is still not a given that she could catch up to Obama. So why does she stay in? Should she do what's best for the Party and concede the election to Obama? Maybe, but I doubt that thought has ever crossed her mind. She is in the race till the end no matter what it does to the Party's chances in November. I don't believe Hillary has ever had what's best for the Party or the country in mind. Because she believes that SHE is what's best for both the Party and the country. Now, this is not, by itself, a bad thing. Anyone running for the most powerful position in the world should have some level of self-confidence and believe in their gut that they are the best person for the job. But with her it just comes across as arrogance at its worst. I can only hope that Obama sweeps the rest of the primaries and when Pennsylvania comes up that its much closer then expected and she makes little or no gains and has to quit the race. But I'll believe it when I see it. If nothing else, she is tenacious.
