Its July 5th...let the campaigning begin!!! Oh wait...its been going on for almost a year already. My bad. Anyhow, we're entering the dog days of summer and you'd better roll up your sleeves and put on your hip waders because this one's gonna get ugly. With many polls showing Obama pulling ahead of McCain nationally and even showing some strength in such Republican strongholds as Montana and Nevada if this thing starts to look like a rout desperation may force McCain to go negative. He has already begun jumping on things Obama says that McCain's camp think might be a flip flop of policy. Of course they should know what a flip flopper looks like since McCain is one himself. I have no problem with a candidate or politician changing their policies when faced with new information. That's not a flip flop...that's leadership. Its when they change their policies for the sole purpose of trying to broaden their appeal and get elected that they become a flip flopper.
