The London Terrorist Attacks

The tragic events of this morning which have occurred in London have brought back the dangerous times we live in. I heard earlier this morning a statement from Ken Livingston, the Mayor of London, which was extremely strong and defiant. He stated that no matter how many people they kill and how many bombs they explode they will not win. The more they try to force their views on people the stronger will be the resistance.

There were reportedly three bombs in the tube subway system and one in a bus, possibly more. Just from the early reaction to these attacks it shows the character of the British people as compared to the Spanish from a year ago. You hear defiance and a refusal to give in to terrorist attacks from British officials, news media and others. In comparison the reaction of most public officials, media and citizens of Spain were to blame their own policies and retreat from the War on Terror. It makes me glad the US was descended from the British Empire and not the Spanish.
